Puppy Reservations

Maple and Lily have started their season and will be bred to Journey. Puppies expected to arrive early to mid-February 2026!

Our reservation list for our next two planned litters in Spring of 2026 is open. Contact me so that we can chat and get you added to our puppy pick list. Mistymaplelabradors@gmail.com 

Reserving your puppy requires a $300 deposit. Puppy Pick will take place when the puppies are 7 weeks old. We do need to gather some information and start the conversation to make sure we can provide what you are looking for and that a Misty Maple Labrador puppy is the right fit for you. 

Make sure to include the following in your email:

• Your name, best phone number and location.
•  Tell us a little about yourself, why you are looking for a Lab and if you have owned a Lab before.  This helps us to help you.  
• Timing preferences/ restrictions (ie: looking to bring home a puppy as soon as possible or further out? This is if you wish to be added to our future puppy waitlist)
• Male/ Female preference, if any
• Color preference, if any. We only offer black and yellow at this time.
• Dam preference (Maple or Lily)

Understand that the more preferences that you have, the longer it may take to provide the perfect puppy. Since we are a small breeding program, if your preference is female, does the color really matters? If your preference is color, does the gender really matter? We can not predict the litter size, gender or how many of each color will be born. The best advice is to get on our wait list and then move forward to the top of the list. Once we confirm pregnancy for either dog, we will reach out to you and let you know. 

Once we receive your reservation request email, expect a response within 24 hours. If you haven't heard back within 48 hours, then send a second email. I try to be on top of communication but life can sneak up on us all!

1. I will respond with any clarifying questions and then verify your spot on the wait list. 
2. Once the dogs have started their season and bred successfully, we will have a clear idea of when the puppies will be born and when they will be eight weeks old and ready for pick up. I will then reach out to all those on the waitlist and verify that adding a puppy to their lives is still the perfect plan. 
3. Once the puppies are born we will know for certain how many puppies get matched with families. If you do not get a puppy then your name will move up on the wait list to the next expected litter.
4. For those families that are matched with puppies, then a holding deposit of $300 will be due within one week. Venmo is preferred for deposits if you have it but we also accept PayPal and cash if you are local and able to drop off.
5. At week 5, I am open to scheduled visitation so that you can interact with the puppies. At week 7 you will be able to come and pick out your puppy based on your wait list spot. If you are not local, then I can send you photos and videos of the available puppies when it is your turn to pick. I will send out an email beforehand with instructions.

Misty Maple Labradors reserves the right of refusal if at any point we feel uncomfortable about a potential buyer or feel that the puppy will be going to an unsuitable environment that is not a good fit. In this situation, the deposit will be refunded. We are anticipating many life-long joyful interactions with our new puppy owners.

At week 8, once the puppies have had their vet visit, health exam and first round of shots I will schedule your puppy pick up day. This is usually on the closest Saturday right after eight weeks. I will send out an email beforehand with helpful information so that you arrive prepared. 

All of our puppies come with pet/limited AKC registration, puppy contract & health guarantee, dewormed multiple times, first set of 8 week vaccinations by our veterinarian with documentation of this, health examination by licensed veterinarian and health records, microchipped, a blanket that smells like mama, a gallon bag of puppy food to make their transition to home easy, a tote filled with starter toys and chews, a folder of helpful information and a life time of breeder support.

• The reservation list for the Lily + Journey litter is OPEN. All Black puppies are planned for Spring 2026
• The reservation list for Maple + Journey is OPEN. Both Yellow and Black puppies are planned for Spring 2026. 

Our puppy pricing for 2026 is $2100. We evaluate costs each year and are committed to placing the healthiest puppy in your arms. This includes the best vet care, food and eights weeks of our undivided care and attention. From day one, your new baby will loved as a member of our family.

That's a Loaded Question.

A normal litter for a Labrador Retriever is between 5-10 with an average of 7-8.

In this first year, we have experienced many of the complications that come eventually to all veteran breeders.   

First litters can often be small. Maple only had 2  puppies for her first litter. Those puppies were so well loved, fed and cared for.

Maple's second litter was a singleton, "Moses". What an amazing experience that was. Maple's third litter was another singleton "Opal". Opal is the sweetest puppy in the world! We are keeping Opal and exploring adding her to our program.

Lily experienced a false pregnancy and then a pregnancy with an early reabsorption. But then she gave us a beautiful litter of nine absolutely stunning babies!

With every experience we learn and try to do better the next time! Our dogs are healthy, so we anticipate normal litter sizes with each attempt.
